Google Chrome’s Enhanced Protection mode is a powerful feature designed to keep you safe online. It uses Artificial intelligence to block attacks, provide deep file scans, and offer extra protection from malicious Chrome extensions. This mode is part of Google’s Safe Browsing feature, which already protects over 5 billion devices worldwide.
With Enhanced Protection, Chrome checks sites in real-time against a server-side list of known bad sites, which helps block 25% more phishing attempts. It also uses encryption and other privacy-enhancing techniques to ensure that no one, including Google, knows what websites you’re visiting.
To keep up with the increasing pace of hackers, we’re bringing real-time, privacy-preserving URL protection to Google Safe Browsing for anyone using Chrome on desktop or iOS. Plus we’re introducing new password protections on Chrome for iOS as another way to help you safely navigate the web.
Look out for these features on Chrome and stay tuned.
